Lavender & Rosemary Foot Soak and Lavender Play-Dough

If you’re lucky enough to have fresh lavender in your garden it usually grows in such abundance, and is probably smelling amazing this time of year. If you don’t have fresh lavender, a good lavender essential oil is pretty magical too.

I’ve come across some out of the box lavender ideas for small and big humans alike - use it to make calming play dough to squeeze and smell when you’re feeling overwhelmed, and a relaxing herbal foot soak to give your tootsies some end of summer love.

1 tbsp cream of tartar

1 tbsp coconut oil (melted or fractionated)

2-3 drops lavender essential oil (optional)

Dried lavender

Instructions:

Infuse the blueberries in the water until the water turns a nice purple colour (we used frozen blueberries and left them overnight) .

Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Add the oils.

Add the water bit by bit until you have an elastic dough.

Mix thoroughly then knead.

Sprinkle the dried lavender on at the end.

Store in a sealed container for a moment of calm whenever you need it.
